The Marrakech Conference on Climate Change (COP22) has seen a series of initiatives being declared. For example, the Blue Fund initiative dedicated to the Congo Basin Region to be presided by the Republic of the Congo. According to the promoters of the initiative, this fund, estimated at 3 billion euros, aims to develop the economy of this region in the long term. Among its missions: to offer other alternatives to deforestation, to strengthen irrigation of farmland in the savannah and to support eco-tourism.
